Why Heart Dog?

A heart dog is a term in the dog world to describe that once in a lifetime canine soulmate that some of us are lucky to meet.  It is the dog who understands you and you understand, and the dog you first think of whenever someone mentions their own.   No matter how much time has passed. 

A heart dog is special, and that's what I wanted to create - a business that celebrates the dog and human relationship by focusing on classic, playful and soulful images of your hairy bestie.   

My heart breed is the Collie Rough.  So expect to see a lot of them!

Why me?

I'm Natalie and I'm a local puppy loving photographer in Ocean Grove.  I am mum to a beautiful 14 year old (human) boy, our 10 year old rescue Collie Rough  - Winter, and our 10 year old Ragdoll cat River.

I run a successful newborn and family photography business but BEFORE kids, I was really a dog person.  I've done it all - obedience, showing, rescue.  I've researched raw foods,  spent too much money on clickers and treat bags - I'm the real deal.  I've self taught myself a lot about dog behaviour and I understand how they learn and how they behave.

So with this understanding of dogs coupled with my experience in photography - it seemed the right time to throw myself in wholeheartedly.
